Haohui Liu
* * * Haohui Liu is a visual artist,
which is a serious way of saying he follows images into strange places, asks materials unnecessary questions, and sometimes spends far too long deciding whether something is a photograph, a book, a mistake, or all three.
He is an associate Lecturer, photography specialist Technician, and PhD candidate at the London College of Communication, University of the Arts London.
His practice engages with both traditional and experimental forms, encompassing:
photography,
darkroom process,
bookmaking,
computer program,
installation,
and found materials.
In short: images, objects, book, paper, light, chemistry, pixels, code, accidents, and the occasional very specific technical problem.
